Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Whisk together until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Add the cherry blossom syrup and vanilla extract. Optionally, add a few drops of pink food coloring. Stir until evenly combined.

Churning

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In the last few minutes of churning, gently add the chopped maraschino cherries.

Freezing

  • Transfer the ice cream to a suitable container, cover tightly, and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes
