Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the dough.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
