Filling

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into squares, about 3 to 4 inches per side.
  • Place a generous spoonful of the cream cheese filling in the center of each square.
  • Fold the corners of each square toward the center and pinch to secure the filling.
  • Beat the remaining egg and brush it over each pastry for a golden finish.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool briefly before dusting with powdered sugar.
